FAISALABAD:
A seminar was organised by the Catholic Church at Centre for Peace and Harmony to mark Mothers Day on Monday.

The speakers at the event paid tribute to mothers for the contributions they made for their children and the society.

Father Nisar Barkat said that Mothers day reminded the people for their responsibilities towards the most important person in their lives.

He said the society needed to ensure that every mother was provided with good education and did not have to suffer economic hardships.

“We would no longer need to worry about our leaders then. With mothers having a good education and means to raise their children, we’ll get good and qualified leaders,” he said.

Other speakers at the event were Father. Samuel George, Advocate Chudhry Anwar, Fouzia Kanwal, Naila Arooj and Aqsa Kanwal. Fouzia Kanwal said mother was God’s most precious gift for the humankind.
