Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle make their first appearance together

Soon to be sisters-in-law made their first public appearance at the first annual Royal Foundation Forum with their significant others. They both wore blue outfits; Markle wore a navy blue satin dress by Jason Wu while Kate Middleton went for a light blue maternity dress from Seraphine. The two gave us sister goals in their matching outfits and royal world charm.



Gucci accused of hurting cultural/religious sentiments

Fashion giant, Gucci recently came under fire due to its bizarre fashion show at Milan Fashion Week. The show featured models holding replicas of their own heads and absurd props such as dragons. The show featured hijabs, niqabs, and Sikh turbans, sparking a backlash among social media users who accused the brand of cultural appropriation and offending religious sentiments. Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele said that the collection “drew inspiration from Donna Haraway’s 1984 essay on ‘A Cyborg Manifesto’, which rejects the idea of rigid boundaries separating humans from animals and machines,” HuffPost UK reported.



Vogue India criticised for choosing Kim Kardashian as its cover star


We were all pretty surprised when Kimmy K appeared on the cover of Vogue India in a beautiful Anita Dongre outfit. However, this surprise soon turned into bitter commentary when people started to criticise the publication for choosing Kim Kardashian as its cover celebrity. “India has Rekha, Priyanka Chopra, and Aishwarya Rai and they get Kim Kardashian? Vogue India is truly trash and over for not acknowledging brown beauty,” said a tweet. The publication has since responded with a statement defending its position saying: “In the last 10 years, Vogue India has had only 12 international covers, including Kendall Jenner, in 2017. Therefore, statistically, 90 per cent [sic] of our covers are Indian! And we are proud of that,” it read.



Kylie Jenner launches new make-up collection inspired by daughter

Kylie Jenner recently launched her new make-up collection, ‘The Weather Collection’ inspired by her newborn daughter Stormi. The collection comprises a highlighter palette, two eye shadow palettes, three lipsticks and much more. Reportedly, the new mom worked on the line all through her pregnancy and planned to unveil it after the delivery of her child. We’re stoked to try out the new line!



Atif Aslam refuses to promote Bollywood song after ban

Pakistani signing sensation Atif Aslam has been repeatedly refusing to promote his Bollywood song Sehmi hai Dhadkan from the movie Daas Dev after the ban imposed by the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA), says the movie producer Sanjeev Kumar. “Atif said he will do it, but it hasn’t been done. I’m not sure why he isn’t taking part in the activity, but, as a producer, I see that work promised hasn’t been executed,” Kumar said in a statement. Earlier this month, politician Babul Supriyo had asked for a ban on Pakistani artistes working in the Hindi film industry. He had also objected to the inclusion of Pakistan singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice in the film Welcome To New York.



Gohar Rasheed, Saba Qamar to share screen space after two years

Pakistani actors Gohar Rasheed and Saba Qamar are all set to join hands once again in yet another exciting project. A source revealed that the actors will be reuniting after two years. They earlier worked together in TV drama Digest Writer which received seven nominations at the 3rd HUM Awards. According to the source, the new project is reportedly titled Badshah Begum and as the name suggests, it will not be a conventional one. But then again, when have Saba and Gohar ever stuck to the norm? Both the actors have made their mark in the Pakistani entertainment industry. Saba recently won the Best Actress (TV) at the Lux Style Awards for her role in Baaghi. She was also nominated for the Filmfare Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for her Bollywood debut Hindi Medium. Gohar also starred in films such as Rangreza and Yalghaar, garnering a lot of acclaim for the former in particular. Badshah Begum is currently in it’s pre-production phase. With the two on par actors coming together on screen once again, we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!
