Bank of Punjab case: NAB moves accused to Peshawar

Seth Nisar shifted to Peshawar where NAB will produce him in the accountability court.

One of the main accused in Bank of Punjab scam Seth Nisar was shifted to Peshawar on Monday where National Accountability Bureau (NAB)  will produce him in the accountability court on Tuesday.

NAB lodged a reference of Rs100 million against Nisar for his alleged involvement in a Rs9 billion scam in the Bank of Punjab.

Earlier, an accountability court in Lahore extended judicial remand of Hamesh Khan, Sheikh Afzal and Nisar for 14 days on Monday in the same case.

The Punjab Bank’s board of directors including Hamesh Khan allegedly provided billions of rupees in loans to fake companies during Chaudhry Pervez Elahi's rule in Punjab.
