'Heads will roll' says Haqqani
Information to be shared with the world if incompetence found.
WASHINGTON/ISLAMABAD:
Pakistani ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani has said that “heads would roll” once investigations are completed into how Bin Laden had been hiding in Abbottabad.
Speaking on a US TV program, ABC’s “This Week”, Haqqani warned that "heads will roll, once the investigation has been completed.” He went on to say that information will be shared with the world if incompetence is found. On the other hand, if a case of complicity is discovered, “there will be zero tolerance for that, as well."
Haqqani pointed out that bin Laden’s presence was not to Pakistan’s advantage, and that if anyone from the Pakistani government, military or intelligence knew of Osama bin Laden’s presence in the country, they would have taken action immediately.
He said Pakistan was conducting an inquiry into how bin Laden could have hidden in Abbottabad. He said however, that it was still premature to reveal the details of the investigation.
Haqqani also revealed that one of bin laden’s wives was paranoid of movement like her husband and never left the floor he was on. She never even wandered to the windows for fresh air.
