Assistance: Kuwait to finance local projects

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) announced that it would assist in the financing of the Bhasha dam and desilting of Tarbela Dam projects.
The announcement was made by director-general fund Abdulwahab Ahmad alBader during his meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari after the president invited the agency to participate in the desilting of the Tarbela Dam project, the feasibility report of which would be ready by July this year.
Zardari urged the Kuwaiti financial and investment giants to help Pakistan overcome its energy shortages through financing and investments.
