The federal government is fully concentrating on the development of backward areas in the country.
This was stated by the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Mehboobullah Jan while addressing the inauguration of construction work on Shalgashe-Belja Road during his visit to Madakhel, Kohistan District.
He said that Kohistan is rich in natural resources and potential in hydel, mineral and tourism sectors.
The Rs220 million road will benefit around 32,000 people.
He added that National Disaster Management Authority has assured acceleration of construction work on Indus at Kund.
The road would be constructed with the assistance of Islamic Development Bank through the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority.
