LIAQATPUR:

A woman has appealed to the authorities to restore her property after she was turned out by her relatives on Sunday.

According to police officials, Romana Aleem, the widow of Abdul Aleem, who died seven years ago was tortured and turned out of her house by her in-laws and her son.

Romana said that after her husband’s death his nephews Abdul Hameed, Abdul Majeed and Abdul Waheed and her son Kashif had seized her property and turned her out.

“I wasn’t left with much after my husband’s property was distributed. I only had a tiny one bedroom house but they took that after beating me with sticks for hours,” she said.

Romana said that her in-laws had also convinced her son to side with them in the matter.

“My three younger children live with me but we have no where to go,” she said. Romana said that her in-laws refused to transfer property in her children’s name as her elder son had wanted the major share.

RY Khan District Police Officer (DPO) said that he had filed her complaint and that police were investigating.
