Veteran freedom fighter thanked NUML for highlighting the Kashmir cause

Kashmir will be a free state soon, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Syed Ali Gilani said in his video message during the opening session of the three-day International Conference on “The Kashmir Dispute: Past, Present and the Future”.

National University of Modern Languages (NUML) International Relations Department, Pakistan Studies and Governance and Public Policy Department had jointly organised the conference at the varsity.

The veteran freedom fighter thanked NUML for highlighting the Kashmir cause. GIllani in his 25-minute long video message educate the participants about the history of Kashmir and present day situation.

Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed said world has left Kashmir dispute unsolved intentionally, both the countries India and Pakistan should use diplomatic channels to end the miseries of the Kashmiris. He said that Pakistan at every forum support the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.

“We salute the people who are fighting for their identity and independence in Indian Occupied Kashmir,” Mukhtar said. He stressed upon the world leaders to stand up and support the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.

NUML Rector Major General (retd) Najam shared his personal memories of the Line of Control.

NUML Director General Brig Muhammad Ibrahim, deans, directors, heads of departments, guest speakers and scholars from Indian occupied Kashmir, United States and United Kingdom were also present on the occasion.
