LAHORE:
Provincial Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani expressed his hope that Post-Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) would be given the status of a medical university.
He was addressing the Annual Scientific Symposium of PGMI, held at Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences of Lahore General Hospital (LGH)
on Monday.
PGMI Principal Dr Ghiasun Nabi Tayyab, Prof Agha Shabbir Ali, MS Dr Mahmood Salahuddin, faculty members, medical experts and students were present in a large number.
The minister called upon students to make continuous efforts and take solid steps in their professional careers. He appreciated the role of doctors for the ailing community and said that this community earns the life here in after also.
He also visited a posters exhibition organised by the students and called it a wonderful effort.
