The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) has confirmed the country’s participation in the Two Star China Open Boxing Championship that will begin on May 28 in Guiyang.

The squad takes on boxers from 86 other countries during the five-day tournament.

Pakistan will be represented by Mohammad Waseem, Qadir Khan, Sardar Mohammad, Aamir Khan and Nisar Khan. Last year, Pakistan won a bronze medal in the championship under Cuban coach Francisco Roldan Hernandes. The boxers are training with local coach Ali Bukhsh, who expressed his confidence. “We have a winning team here, we can win the gold medal in China,” Bukhsh told The Express Tribune.
