PESHAWAR: A group of visually impaired people on Monday urged the provincial government to fulfil their promise of increasing the job quota for them.
Visually impaired people from across the province gathered outside the Peshawar Press Club on Monday under the banner of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Blind Association and walked to the K-P Assembly.
They raised anti-government slogans and held up banners and placards against K-P Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
The protesters slammed Khattak for not granting them a hearing and listening to their problems.
They urged the government to increase their quotas in education and other governments departments. They further complained that visually impaired job-seekers had been completely ignored in the recent teacher’s positions announced by the provincial government.
