Interacting with employers: SZABIST organises career fair

Over 70 national, multinational organisations participate in three-day fair

Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), Karachi's executive development centre organised its 'Career Fair 2018' from February 14 to February 16 at the varsity's campus. Over 70 national and multinational organisations participated in the fair.

During the three-day career fair, more than 600 students, including alumni and final year students of graduate and postgraduate levels, submitted their applications for employment, training and internships. Tapal Danedar was one of the major sponsors of the event. Some of the organisations that participated in the event included the Aman Foundation, Bank alHabib, Binary Vibes, Blitz, Daraz Group, English Biscuit Manufacturers, Fancy Group of Companies, Faysal Bank, General Tyres, Habib Metropolitan Bank, Icon Group, Leopards Courier, Logicose, Pakistan State Oil, Prime HR, Professional Employers Private Limited, Rastek Technologies, Sindh Education Foundation, Aga Khan University Hostpial and Team A Ventures, among others.

1,027 students awarded degrees at SZABIST convocation

On popular demand, the top management decided to extend the career fair to three days this year.

The event served as an excellent opportunity for the students to become aware of the pre-requisites of joining the corporate sector, interact with different potential employers, forward their resumes and receive career advice from professionals.

The recruiters were impressed to receive applicants with different sets of skills, qualifications and talents. The atmosphere was vibrant and charged with recruitment activities such as CV screening, on-spot interviews, group discussions, networking and brand ambassadorships.

All the partners and sponsors were welcomed and greeted by the varsity's president, administration and finance vice-president and academics vice-president.
