Two brothers die of shock in Gujranwala after younger brother commits suicide

Funeral of the three brothers will take place later today

Two brothers died of shock in Gujranwala after they learned that their younger brother has killed himself, Express News reported on Saturday.

Zahid, 35, shot himself over what is believed to be frustration because of his financial problems. After hearing the news of his younger brother’s death, Abbas suffered a heart attack.

While he was being rushed to the hospital, Abbas expired. Half an hour later, Saddam, the third brother, reached the scene and died of shock.



Police reported that Zahid worked as a welder and was father to a young girl. They also revealed that his body has been shifted to the Divisional Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for postmortem. The funeral of the three brothers will take place later in the day.

Last month, a young doctor committed suicide in mysterious circumstances at his residence at Block C of Faisal Town in the limits of Faisal Town police station. Station House Officer (SHO) of Faisal Town police station Asad Abbas said it was too early to say that Dr Shoaib committed suicide due to his financial constraints.



“He belonged to a well-off family and was the resident of a posh locality,” he said.

He said according to initial investigation, Dr Shoaib’s family wanted to send him abroad for further education, however, he wanted to stay in Pakistan.
