Transition: Tribune reporter grieved
Staff reporter Asma Ghani lost her father on Thursday, our prayers and condolences are with her
ISLAMABAD:
Abdul Ghani, the father of The Express Tribune staff reporter Asma Ghani, passed away on Thursday. He was 72. He was laid to rest in the Sector H-11 Graveyard. Born in 1945 in the then British India, Abdul had migrated to Pakistan in 1947. His family said the train he was on while migrating to Pakistan was attacked and only he, his elder brother and mother along with a few other people survived. In Pakistan, he went to serve in MES Pakistan Navy. He was hospitalised with lung cancer last week where he breathed his last.
