Gas Tariffs Challenge: SNGPL requests petition be dismissed
The petitioner’s counsel sought time to prepare his arguments in this regard.
LAHORE:
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) on Friday requested the Lahore High Court to dismiss a petition, challenging slab rates of Sui gas, by declaring it non-maintainable.
The judge remarked that the petitioner had an alternative remedy of invoking the jurisdiction of the court under Section 12(2) of the Ordinance 2002.
The SNGPL argued that the petitioner had a remedy of filing review under Rule 16 of the Natural Gas Tariff Rules 2002 regarding slab rates of gas.
The petitioner’s counsel sought time to prepare his arguments in this regard. The court accepted his request and adjourned the matter.
