Bank Of Punjab Case: Report on Hamesh’s father’s property sought

Petitioner submitted he owned the property mentioned in the Rs9 billion scam case.

Mian Subhah Sadiq, an accountability court judge, on Friday gave till May 9 to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials to file a report on details of the property owned by the father of Bank of Punjab former president Hamesh Khan.


He issued the directive in a petition filed by Humayun Aslam Khan, father of Hamesh Khan. Petitioner submitted that he owned the property mentioned in the Rs9 billion scam case against his son.

He said the property had nothing to do with the case and requested the court to issue directives for the NAB officials not to attach his property.

Hamesh Khan, Haris Steel Mills director Sheikh Muhammad Afzal and Seth Nisar are facing trial in the Rs9 billion fraud. Khan is accused of abuse of authority and Afzal and Nisar of willful default on the loan obtained on fake identity and collateral documents.
