Cache of arms, ammunition recovered in IBOs
At least 20 suspected militants were arrested by Balochistan Frontier Corps, a statement issued by the army's media wing said on Sunday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by FC personnel in Buleda, Gish Kaur, Tratha and Pishin areas of the province.
The security forces found RPG rockets, sub-machine guns and sniper rifle along with laptops, GPS and communication equipment.
In similar IBOs on Saturday, FC had conducted raids in Shirani, Dera Murad Jamali.
The military action was part of Operation Raad-ul-Fasaad during which the army successfully recovered weapons, ammunition, mobile SIMs and communication equipment that were being used to harm the peace in Balochistan, the ISPR said.
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, or Elimination of Discord, was launched in February last after a sharp uptick in terrorist attacks in the country.
