Trader kidnapped from Super Market
Rehmat Khan disappeared after going to a public toilet at night
ISLAMABAD:
A representative body of the traders of Super Market has called for the early and safe recovery of a trader who was kidnapped from the market.
Super Market Traders Welfare Association President Shehzad Abbasi during a meeting with ICCI President Sheikh Amir Waheed said the kidnapping has shaken the confidence of business community on security in Islamabad.
He said that Rehmat Khan was kidnapped on Wednesday from Super Market when he was going to relive himself in a public toilet at around 10:15pm.
Waheed and Abbasi hav urged IG Sultan Azam Temuri to help in his early recovery.
The TWA delegation and ICCI office bearers urged the government to introduce new rent control act for the capital.
Traders were living with the fear of eviction, the said. Under present laws, landlords can easily throw out the shopkeepers even though they have been paying rent regularly.
Moreover they reminded CADD Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry of his promise of carpeting the roads in the markets and installing.
