NAB chief vows merit-based appointments

Appointments in the apex accountability watchdog in the country will be made as per the provincial quotas

ISLAMABAD: Appointments in the apex accountability watchdog in the country will be made as per the provincial quotas listed under the law.

This was stated by NAB Chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal, read a statement released by the accountability bureau on Sunday.

The statement added that immediately after assuming responsibilities as NAB chief, Justice Iqbal in his first address to officer's of the body had assured that appointments will be made strictly on merit.

In the light of this commitment, the NAB chief decided to advertise vacant posts of director, additional director and assistant director as per provincial quota of  Balochistan in NAB.
