Former world number one Venus Williams has set her sights on the traditional Wimbledon warm-up tournament.

Former world number one Venus Williams has set her sights on the traditional Wimbledon warm-up tournament at Eastbourne for the first time since 1998. The five-time Wimbledon champion has signed up for the AEGON International in a bid to prepare for the grass-court slam. The 30-year-old will forgo heading home after the French Open in order to get some match practice. The last time Venus competed at Eastbourne, the American was just 18 and was yet to claim her first grand slam.
