In yet another gruesome incident of sexual abuse of children, a seven-year-old boy was found raped and killed at an under construction building in Karachi on Friday.

The victim, H*, had gone missing yesterday from an area that comes under the jurisdiction of New Town police station, Express News reported.

His body was found from an under construction building near his house earlier today.

An initial medical examination has confirmed that the child was raped before being murdered.

Police officials said that the victim’s parents have taken the body to their native town in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Mansehra district for burial.

A first information report (FIR) has been lodged and investigation into the incident was underway.

A steep rise in the reporting of such incidents has been observed since the nation grieved the brutal rape and murder of eight-year-old Zainab in Kasur last month.

Last month, a man was booked for allegedly attempting to rape his own niece inside their house within the limits of Sachal police station in the city.
