ATC grants Shah Mehmood interim bail in four terrorism cases

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday granted interim bail to Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood in four terrorism cases, Express News reported.

Qureshi appeared before the ATC today and pleaded the court to grant him an interim bail in the cases.

The ATC judge Shahrukh Arjumand asked the senior PTI to submit Rs100,000 in surety bonds and granted him interim bail until February 8.

ATC approves PTI leaders' bail in three cases


The senior PTI leader has been nominated in four terrorism cases including the 2014 attack on the parliament, Pakistan Television (PTV) building and former senior superintendent of police (SSP) Asmatullah Junejo.

The ATC also told Qureshi to appear before the court on February 9. Asad Umar, Shireen Mazari, Shafqat Mehmood and Arif Alvi will also appear in the ATC on the same day.

It is important to mention here that Chairman PTI Imran Khan has already got bail in all the aforementioned cases.

The cases were filed against the PTI leaders during the 2014 sit-in and protests in Islamabad.
