Demonstration: Doctors and staffers continue to protest
Doctors demand that their hospitals stay under the federal government.
KARACHI:
A protest was organised by doctors, paramedical staff and other employees of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, the National Institute of Child Health and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases on Wednesday.
The joint action committee organised the demonstration, demanding that their hospitals stay under the federal government. They said that they would continue to protest until the government withdraws their decision to hand the hospitals over to the provincial government.
The protesters said they will organise a sit-in outside Jinnah hospital on Thursday.
