Ignoring summons: Warrants for companies’ registrar
Petitioner says the registrar has ignored his petition for months.
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Wednesday issued bailable arrest warrants for the Punjab Joint Stock Companies registrar for failing to appear before the court despite repeated notices and adjourned for May 11.
The court issued the order on a petition by Syed Mohsin Saeed, who runs Islamia Mission. Saeed submitted that he had applied to the registrar months ago to transfer the NGO’s registration from his grandfather to him, but he had been ignored.
Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed had summoned the registrar on several occasions but he did not turn up.
