Facebook users are perturbed by the fact that the site is down in many parts of the world, according to the news reported by Dailymail.

Frustrated users took to Twitter to express their anger, with thousands registering protest in the last hour alone.
A live outage map showed the site being down across the United States, with the northeast hit particularly hard. Outage was also observed along the West Coast, in Mexico, and in parts of South America.
According to DownDetector, the issue appeared to have started just before 1 p.m. (ET).

Parts of Europe also appeared affected by the outage, with reports of down coming primarily from the UK and Germany. Scattered reports also surfaced from India, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Facebook users logged onto Twitter to see if the problem was affecting others.
The majority (43%) indicated they were experiencing a 'total blackout,' while many others said the issue stems from logging on.
It appeared the problem affected both desktop and app users, with 17 per cent reporting they had trouble with the app the same day.
