CDA stops salaries of 30 truant employees
Member Administration Yasir Pirzada, directed 56 employees of the department to report back
ISLAMABAD:
In a bid to punish officials from the Sanitation Directorate who have not been showing up for their duties, the civic body has decided to halt their salaries.
Several employees of the Sanitation Directorate had started reporting to departments and officers other than their own without due permission and had thus been missing from their posts. They were subsequently given a deadline to report back to their parent department in the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The civic body’s Administration Wing, on the instructions of Member Administration Yasir Pirzada, directed 56 employees of the department to report back to the sanitation directorate by January 23. Of these, only 26 showed up.
