Promotion of education is critical for ensuring development and prosperity of any society.
This was stated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Thursday while addressing stone laying ceremony of Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum School and College in Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency on Thursday.
Indeed, he added, without education, every human being stands incomplete and keeping this fact in mind, the present government has initiated concrete measures for the promotion of education.
Referring to the importance of the institution — which will be spread over a hundred kanals, the governor said that to ensure the standard of educational facilities at the campus, it has been affiliated with the Lawrence College in Ghora Gali, Murree.
Further, he said, that the institution will be governed by a board of governors.
Upon its completion, the Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum School and College will offer quality academic as well as co-curricular facilities to the children of the local people at reasonable fees and expenditures.
The governor appreciated the efforts of the political administration in implementing the project and hoped that locals can now avail quality educational facilities at their doorsteps.
