Pakistan, Turkey: Officials agree to boost ties in aviation

The adviser said the government was focusing on strengthening regional cooperation and bilateral relations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Turkey mutually agreed to extend bilateral relations and to work collectively in the field of aviation particularly for the betterment of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Consensus to this regard was developed in a meeting between Adviser to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan and Ambassador of Turkey in Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul. Senior officials of the aviation division were also present on the occasion, said a press release. Different matters pertaining to mutual cooperation in various sectors were also discussed. The Turkish ambassador appreciated the steps taken by the incumbent government in order to restructure PIA and improve the aviation sector in Pakistan. The adviser said the government was focusing on strengthening regional cooperation and bilateral relations to ensure prosperity and sustainable peace not only in Pakistan but the whole region.
