No intra politics in PTI: Fawad Chaudhry
Chaudhry says Imran Khan will decide about resignations of PTI MNAs
KARACHI:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on a two-day visit will reach Karachi on January 27.
The central PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry while talking to The Express Tribune stated that Imran Khan will attend PTI’s leader Asad Umar’s son’s Nikah ceremony on Saturday in Karachi.
He said that there are no inter-party conflicts and Imran Khan will decide about the resignations of PTI MNAs. He added saying that the party will keep unmasking the corruption of the Sharif family. PTI is a big political party and all the decisions are taken after party leader engages in discourse.
No PTI lawmaker submitted resignation
Rejecting the news pertaining to Imran Khan’s consultation with Bushra Bibi over political matters Fawad said that the news is false.
On Sunday, January 28, Imran Khan is expected to condole the family of renowned chef Zubaida Apa during the visit. Imran Khan will also address Women Chamber of Commerce event and also preside over the meeting of the core group of the Insaf Students Federation (ISF) following a press conference.
On Tuesday, after a Central Executive Committee meeting of the party in the capital, the PTI chairman had confirmed that lawmakers of his party have submitted their resignations to him and that he would make a final decision in this regard after due consultation.
The party leadership has been consulting on whether to step down en masse, as some within the ranks fear it would rather be counterproductive in view of the ongoing campaign against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) over alleged corruption.
However, not even a single elected PTI representative has handed over his resignation to Imran Khan as confirmed by several PTI members of the parliament and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly to The Express Tribune.
