11-year-old's alleged rapist, murderer acquitted by SC
The apex court did not find enough evidence to sentence the accused
The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday acquitted the alleged rapist and murderer of an 11-year-old girl after lack of evidence against him, reported Express News.
The man was accused of raping and killing a girl in Turbat in 2012, but not enough evidence was presented against him in court. The apex court when reading out the verdict, stated that no medical examination of the girl had been conducted due to which it could not be proved that she was raped.

Moreover, her remains were exhumed for the post-mortem and there were no witnesses who saw the girl going with the accused. When the case was in trial court, it could also not be proven how the girl was killed.
"Without solid evidence we cannot punish anyone," the SC stated.
