
Former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) minister for Mines and Minerals Development Ziaullah Afridi on Tuesday submitted an adjournment motion in the K-P assembly secretariat demanding that an inquiry committee is formed to probe the fight involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Minister Shah Farman at an upscale hotel in Islamabad.

In his motion, Afridi referred to a talk show, aired on a private television channel, which talked about the altercation.
The programme, Afridi claimed, had reported that Farman and a female parliamentarian of PTI from the K-P provincial assembly the news about a fight between the K-P minister for information Shah Farman and a female lawmaker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad.
Afridi added in the statement that both Farman and the unnamed woman parliamentarian had traded derogatory remarks in the lobby of the hotel and that the incident had been witnessed by several people.
K-P govt has more to do closer to home
The former minister said that the lady had levelled serious and immoral allegations against Farman.
With the female lawmaker representing the women of the province, Afridi argued that the incident had brought shame on the people of K-P.
He has demanded that an inquiry committee of the house be constituted to visit Islamabad and obtain the footage of the fight.
