Imran is a liar: CM Shehbaz

Also slams PPP co-chairman Zardari for his alleged corruption

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he would make Pakistan a great country if his party wins the next general elections. Speaking to a large gathering in Layyah district, he assured PML-N would sweep the polls.

On the occasion, Shehbaz slammed political opponents Imran Khan and Asif Ali Zardari. He called PTI chief Imran Khan a “liar” who had not done any public work in Khyber-Pakhtunkhuwa.

“Such a liar does not deserve to win the votes of the people,” he added. He stated PTI had not done any development work for the welfare of the people of K-P.

Criticising Asif Ali Zardari, he said the PPP co-chairman had ruined Sindh due to his corruption. “Funds worth billions of rupees were given to Larkana, but the money was not utilised. He said Zardari brags about holding Sharifs accountable, but he was the architect of corruption and should first present himself.


The CM also announced a grant of Rs300 million individually for Chobara Chowk and the construction of the sub campus of Layyah University. He also announced a grant of Rs1 billion rupees for the dual carriageway at Chowk Azam.

Shehbaz stated he would consider a colony for journalists according to the defined rules of Layyah district. On the occasion, he announced 10 mobile ambulances and one mobile health unit.

The CM announced the foundation of an engineering college in Layyah.
