ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Azerbaijan on Monday lauded the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security forces and police against terrorism. Ambassador Ali Alizada was speaking at a ceremony held to remember police martyrs at police headquarters.
A smartly turned out contingent of Islamabad police also presented a guard of honour to the visiting dignitary on his arrival at Police Lines Headquarters.
On the occasion, Special Secretary Interior Rizwan Malik appreciated the efforts of Islamabad police and thanked the ambassador for attending the ceremony. He said that whole world is facing the menace of terrorism but Pakistan had led from the front to stamp out terrorism.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan appreciated the security personnel who sacrificed their lives for the country. He said that terrorism is a common enemy of the international community and there is a dire need to join efforts to root out this menace.
