The Kohat District Administration launched an anti-encroachment drive in the district. Kohat Deputy Commissioner Khalid Ilyas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Najeeb Ullah and Additional Assistant Commissioner Sahibzada Samiullah along with all other concerned departments launched the seven-day anti-encroachment drive to clear encroachments on both sides of the main irrigation canal.
During the drive, the administration used heavy machinery to clear a 28 feet area on both sides of the canal. Talking to the media, Sahibzada Najeebullah thanked the people of Jarma area for removing all the encroachments on a voluntary basis. He said the anti-encroachment drives would continue without discrimination. He said staff of the town municipal administration have already kicked off their anti-encroachment drives and have served notices to those who are illegally occupying public land
