LAHORE:
The Punjab government has set up a state-ofthe-art Language Lab at Government Technical Training Institute, Gulberg. An official of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) said on Sunday that on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the authority had started training 15,000 students to learn Chinese language courses in 13 cities across the province. The course would start in other major cities soon, he added. He said that the Chinese government had appreciated the contributions of the Punjab government to promote the Chinese language. At present, three-month duration course had been started at Government College of Technology, Railway Road, Lahore, Gujranwala, Govt Technical Training Institute, Gulberg, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Govt Staff Training College Faisalabad, Govt Technical Training Institute for Women Township and Gujjarpura, Lahore, he said. “This course is helpful for the Pakistani youth who may intend to get job in Chinese companies working in Pakistan and employment in China,” he added.
