PDMA holds seminar on disaster management

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab on Friday organised a seminar to improve disaster resilience at provincial level. The event was organised for information sharing and interactive sessions with officers from a number of government departments including district administration Jhang.
Speaking at the occasion, Jhang Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik thanked PDMA Punjab for undertaking a province-wide initiative to improve disaster resilience. He said gathering of all respected partners from government, media, and civil society would lay a solid foundation for a proactive approach to disaster response in Punjab. "PDMA's effort for Multi Hazard Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (MHVRA) in 20 districts of Punjab is appreciable," he added.
