National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has asked Rawalpindi Regional Bureau to prepare a preliminary report on allegation that a group was leaking question papers of premier hiring body — NTS to unscrupulous buyers.

National Testing Service (NTS) has been considered the most transparent and merit based hiring body for the government institutions.

State institutions repose their trust in NTS to select the best people for them. However, reports of papers being leaked to top bidders have created doubts over the veracity of the testing service.

NAB has destroyed Pakistan, turned nation into a laughing stock: SC

Some of such complains landed on NAB chief’s desk. The chairman ordered NAB Rawalpindi to submit complaint verification report.

He noted that complaints against NTS include frequent leaking of question papers, alleged corrupt practices and failure to protect interests of applicants.

The NAB Rawalpindi was assigned to probe why NTS was conducting various examinations despite the presence of provincial and federal service commissions.

NAB Rawalpindi has also been assigned to probe reasons of NTS’s failure of devising a fool proof, transparent and merit based examination system, which was failed badly to serve student’s interests.

The allegedly non-transparent system of examination of NTS has not only jeopardised the future of thousands of students but also squandered their precious amounts, which has no moral of legal reasons, NAB chief stated.
