Sindh high court: ‘Target killers’ remanded till May 8

Suspects believed to be involved in target killing, police encounters and possessing illegal arms.

Judicial Magistrate (East) Abdul Hafeez Mathelo remanded alleged target killers to police custody till May 8 on Tuesday.


The men include Liaquat Bangash, Faizan Mohammad, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Azeem and Liaquat Yousafzai who are suspected of being involved in target killing, police encounters and possession of illegal arms.

They were arrested after an encounter in Gulistan-e-Jauhar limits and weapons were also seized from them.

According to the police, the men are involved in over a hundred target-killing cases.

Separately, Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Jahangir Khan increased the remand of the Ghas Mandi bomb blast suspect, Mustafa Rehman Orakzai alias Yaqoob alias Commando.

He was arrested after a police encounter at the Super Highway. Twenty kilograms of explosive material, three hand grenades and weapons were seized from him.
