UAE official stresses boosting trade ties

UAE Ambassador to Pakistan met at an interactive session to emphasise exchange of more business delegations

KARACHI:
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan met on Tuesday at an interactive session to emphasise exchange of more business delegations and information to boost bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation. On his first official trip to Karachi, UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaab said there was immense potential in both countries and further promotion of trade and investment was required. In future, Pakistan could do more business with UAE, he noted. According to statistics available with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), trade between Pakistan and UAE increased by 9.4% to $8.3 billion in fiscal year 2016-17 against the previous year. Speaking on the occasion, FPCCI former president Zubair Tufail appreciated the UAE leadership’s vision to make investment in more countries.
