I'm surprised that so many people are still interested in my relationship status: Noor Bukhari
Former actor opens up about recent marriage rumours
LAHORE:
Former actor and model Noor Bukhari has stated that she will never wed again as she has suffered too much due to her four previous marriages.
The Ishq Positive star shared she is currently stressed due to the rumours that have surfaced regarding a fifth marriage and has denied any such developments. After making headlines last year, due to her divorce from singer Wali Hamid Ali Khan, son of popular ghazal singer Ustad Hamid Ali Khan, Noor is trying to steer clear of any such media attention.
Their four-year marriage saw many issues which she described as “clashes and torture” resulting in Noor’s family having to visit the police station to file complaints and a case against her then-husband. The ex-model finally decided to file for divorce last year, despite numerous efforts from Wali to save the marriage.
“My divorce was a very painful episode of my life, where I had to bear the trauma alone. The irony is, no one tried to understand what I was going through,” Noor shared with The Express Tribune.
Following the divorce, the star announced her decision to leave the entertainment industry, confirming that she will never look back. The TV personality moved towards religion and started wearing a hijab, claiming she has finally found contentment and peace through Islam.
“By the grace of Allah, I am finally at peace now. I don’t stay miserable like I used to before turning to religion. I am quite busy with learning the Quran and offering my prayers. I am truly confident that this path will turn out to be a great source of happiness for me and am happy to have found the true meaning of life,” she added.
Noor went on to express her thoughts and reservations on tying the knot again. "I am surprised to see so many people still interested in my relationship status. How can I get married again when I have had the worst possible experiences?”
She continued, “With everything that has happened in the past, I don’t think any girl would want to go back to that. I have made up my mind and don’t want to repeat my mistakes. It is my final decision not to get married ever again.”
Noor added, “It hurts me to see people making such rumours up about me though. I don’t understand why everyone thinks it is okay to target me. There are many other unmarried showbiz personalities but I don’t see anyone speaking about their marriage...”
Speaking of her career, she said, “I have decided never to go back to showbiz and neither to marry. Instead, I am looking to join a religious programme once I get a suitable offer. I am very happy being unmarried and am content in adopting religion in this life.”
