Days after the brutal incident of eight-year-old girl's abduction, rape and murder in Kasur shook the nation, a pedophile gang has surfaced in Mandi Bahauddin, another town in central Punjab.

The gang uses social media website Facebook to lure underage boys and blackmail them to perform profane acts of sexual nature, Express News reported.

Victims and their families protested against the incidents at College Chowk in Mandi Bahauddin on Sunday. Children said they had been forced to perform those acts at gunpoint and filmed to blackmail for money later.

The affected children said their friends were also being forced to repeat what they and their families had gone through.

Protesters set ablaze tyres and blocked traffic. They demanded that the culprits behind the heinous crimes must be brought to book at the earliest.

Eight-year-old victim, who went missing on January 6 in Kasur, was raped and murdered, and four days later her body was found in a pile of garbage.

Mass protests erupted soon after the news broke, leading to death of two people and injuries to several others allegedly by police firing in Kasur last week.
