Police catch four ‘automobile thieves’
Sihala police set up pickets to control movement of criminals
ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad police claimed to have arrested four suspects involved in car thefts and other crimes.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested from the jurisdiction of Sihala police station. At the time of arrest, police recovered stolen cars and cash from the possession of the alleged thieves and took it into its custody as case property.
A police spokesperson said that Akber Ali Asim had lodge complaint at Sihala police station that his Suzuki Mehran car stolen from his home located in Model Town.
Subsequently, on the special directions of SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani, SP Rural Zone Mustafa Tanveer constituted a special police team to arrest the gang depriving people of their hard earned income.
In compliance with these directives, a police team headed by SHO Sihala Inspector Shokat Ali, ASI Sabbir along with other police officials during special check arrested two car lifters red handed.
They were identified as Muhammad Ali and Jawad Mustfa and recovered stolen car.
