Four suspected militants killed in Karachi's Malir
Police claimed to have recovered three pistols, one rifle and a motorcycle from their possession

As many as four suspected terrorists were gunned down during an alleged encounter with the police in District Malir on Friday.
The encounter took place at Usman Khaskheli Goth in Malir when the police conducted a raid on information from intelligence agencies about the presence of some militants affiliated with banned organisations, including Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Da'ish, in the area.

Acting on the information, an extra contingent of the District Malir police, led by SSP Rao Anwar, raided the suspected hideout of the terrorists where they faced resistance from the terrorists.
According to SSP Anwar, the terrorists attacked the police force by hurling a hand grenade at them. However, no policeman was hurt in the exchange of fire and hand grenade attack. He said that the police also retaliated and killed four terrorists during the exchange of fire.
The bodies of the militants were later shifted to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth after completion of medico-legal formalities at Jinnah hospital where one of them was identified as Maulvi Ishaq and another as Nazar.
SSP Anwar said that Ishaq was a key commander of LeJ, while Nazar was the gunman of former Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan chief Hakeemullah Mehsud.

The other two terrorists have yet to be identified.
The District Malir SSP also claimed that the terrorists killed were involved in various high-profile cases of terrorism, including the PNS Mehran attack, Karachi airport attack and Imambargah attack on MA Jinnah Road, adding that besides these high profiles terrorist attacks, the suspects were also involved in various incidents of targeted killings of cops, Rangers and soldiers.
