Tipu Truckanwala: Convict gets death for murder
An anti-terrorism court on Monday sentenced Khurrum Butt to death.

An anti-terrorism court on Monday sentenced Khurrum Butt to death after finding him guilty of killing Arif Amir alias Tipu Truckanwala.
The court also imposed Rs100,000 fine on the convict and directed him to pay Rs100,000 in compensation to the family of the deceased.
Non-payment of fine would result in an additional one-year imprisonment.
Besides Butt, Khwaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt, Malik Ahsan and four others were nominated in the FIR registered with the Sarwar Road police on a complaint registered by Sultan Mahmood.
Aqeel was later acquitted of the charge.
Ahsan is on interim bail till May 9, 2011, and another accused, Teefi Butt, is at large.
Arif Amir alias Tipu Truckanwala had been shot at by armed men in the parking area of the Allama Iqbal International Airport last year.
He had later died at a hospital.
