CDA conducted over 2,000 operations
Anti-encroachment operations last year resulted in the demolition of 3,022 different structures

The Enforcement Directorate of Capital Development Authority (CDA) conducted 2,482 anti-encroachment operations in the city last year and confiscated 32,298 different articles. A senior official of the CDA told APP that as many as 116 vehicles involved in the illegal sale of edible items were also confiscated. Anti-encroachment operations last year resulted in the demolition of 3,022 different structures. He said that the confiscated material was subsequently turned into scrap. Moreover, the enforcement directorate received Rs2.02 million as fine from violators.
