ISLAMABAD:
Work on the boundary wall for the 700 acre botanical garden in Bani Gala will start today. The wall, which will be built while protecting the environment, will cost the government Rs90 million. The project is expected to take around two years to complete. The contract for the wall has been given to a company called Malik Enterprise for Rs86.6 million. According to sources, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had ordered Climate Change Minister Mushahidullah Khan in 2015 to protect land for the botanical garden from land grabbers.
