Former Balochistan home minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that the Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) will no longer be a part of the future coalition government in Balochistan.

“PkMAP will not be part of the future political setup in Balochistan,” Bugti said while addressing media-persons outside the Balochistan Assembly Hall on Tuesday.

The former minister was commenting on the recent political development in Balochistan following the resignation of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri as the chief minister.

Bugti played a key role in the no-confidence motion against Zehri and had almost become the focal person or spokesman for the dissidents overshadowing the opposition leader and others.

Rejecting rumours about differences on personal basis, Bugti said, “We have differences on political basis.”

He said, “Now that the chief minister has resigned, we have withdrawn our no-confidence motion. We had been following the democratic principles in filing the no-confidence motion.”

He predicted that the future chief minister would be from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and after consulting all friends and allies “we will announce the name of the new chief minister and that too within a week”.
