LAHORE:
Punjab Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Minister Khalil Tahir Sandhu has rejected the claim made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar regarding joining of PTI by minority representatives.

He said that news about joining PTI by PML-N Minority Wing Lahore President Shahzad Bhatti along with 100 members, was totally baseless. He said that he himself was the president of PML-N Punjab Minority Wing and the person named Shahzad Bhatti had nothing to do with PML-N.

He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had issued a notification of President of Minority Wing Punjab several years ago. He said that the CM would soon issue a notification of the secretary general of the minority wing Punjab and after that the president and secretary general would be nominated in 36 districts of the province.

Sandhu said that Chaudhry Sarwar should avoid misleading people in this regard.
