RDA declares housing scheme illegal
Says Waddia Homes issued an advertisement although the project was not approved by the authority
RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared housing society Waddia Homes, New Lalazar, situated on Adyala Road as illegal.
In a statement issued on Saturday, RDA said Waddia Homes has issued an advertisement, although the project was not approved by the authority.
Legal action was being initiated against Waddia Homes under relevant sections of Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010, the statement said.
According to RDA, Waddia Homes had been directed to stop their advertisement campaign.
The development authority also advised the people that they should not make any investment in any illegal and unauthorised housing scheme, otherwise, they themselves would be responsible for their losses.
