Hangu police netted 1,542 suspects

During the just ended year, Hangu police arrested 1,542 suspects including 323 proclaimed offenders in 669 search operations
Giving details of police performance during 2017, Hangu District Police Officer Ehsanullah Khan said that a significant decline has been witnessed in militancy related incidents as compared with 2016.
He informed that ammunitions including 95 rifles, four kalkovs, 141 shot guns, 393 pistols, 13 hand grenades, 10 fuses, seven kilogrammes explosives, four detonators, one light machine gun, 34,692 cartridges, 57 bottles of liquor and 413 kilogrammes of hashish was recovered from the arrested suspects.
DPO Ehsan said that 60 unregistered tenants have also been arrested during surveillance. He said that tireless efforts of district police have improved overall security situation in the district.
